Ubese

Long ago, Ubese were a peaceful species content within the paradise of their twin garden planets. In all the galaxy, their homeworlds were unique for their binary orbit. The Republic of Systems was eager to invite the then-primitive Ubese into the fold. When exploring new galaxies, it is rare to find so bountiful a planet as theirs - let alone two. To hear the Ubese tell it, the old republic scouts seduced them with the power and might of advanced technology. It was their fault that the Ubese became obsessed with these technological marvels - and they dedicated all of their resources to the development of advanced weapons. They met with resounding success - and the realization of how unique their system was made them paranoid about aggression from rival systems. They began experimenting with illegal weapon systems and dangerous devices banned throughout the galaxy. The actual history is muddy, but the Ubese believe that the Republic of Systems made a preemptive strike against the Ubese to destroy their weapons facilities and halt their aggression. These attacks inadvertently detonated those same weapons, resulting in a widespread contamination of both Ubese worlds and the near extinction of their species.

The Ubese are a species of graceful Near-Humans. They are uniformly slender and frail compared to Humans. Acclimation to their toxic atmospheres prevents the Ubese from breathing the air of other planets, so they are forced to wear body suits or breathing apparatuses (at the minimum). Beneath this equipment, Ubese have pleasant features, fair skin, and bright green or blue eyes. They have exotic features with narrow faces and overly large eyes set above high cheekbones.
