Mon Calamari

Amphibious land dwellers, Mon Calamari share their Outer Rim Homeworld with the Aquatic Quarren. They tend to be soft spoken but vigorously defend causes that inspire them. Their planet, Mon Cala, is currently the center of a deep political dispute. Quarren Leadership has pushed to make deals with Hutt Cartels to defend Mon Calamari from the expanding presence of the Sith Empire in their region of the Outer Rim. The more scrupulous Mon Calamari Patriarch, King Ackbar Rekara, has pushed back against this in favor of support from either the Republic or the Kormani Federation in the Mid Rim; however, many fear that these more distant powers will be unable to aid their planet in time should it fall under attack…
