Jawa

Jawas are short humanoids native to Tatooine with a poor reputation. Most Jawas in the galaxy are regarded as thieves at best, vermin at worst. This is due in part to their typically sour smell, inexplicable language, and reputation as scavengers. Jawas are intelligent and have a complex society, gathering in extended tribes that look for guidance from their shamans. Once a year, Jawa tribes gather in the Dune Sea to exchange sons and daughters, to swap stories and news, and mingle among their own kind.
