Our story begins in Wayside, the local name for any parts of the cities unprotected by high walls and vulnerable to the chaotic weather patterns of an unstable atmosphere. The world has mostly breathable air, but the terraforming towers are always on the brink of malfunction and what was meant to be a 50 year project has stretched into its 52nd year - with only half the work completed to show for it.
